Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and {{LEGAL_ENTITY}} (“Botel”, “we”) for using botel.dev and the rooms you run on it. By creating an account you accept them, and our Privacy Policy.
The service
Botel gives you rooms: Linux virtual machines that run an AI agent, keep their files and memory, sleep when idle and wake when needed. You reach a room through its dashboard, over SSH, or through a Telegram bot you connect. Rooms run on infrastructure provided by inis.run.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- If you sign up for a company, you confirm you can bind it, and “you” means the company.
- Keep your password and SSH keys safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your rooms, including by your agent.
- You can have up to 4 rooms per account.
Prepaid credit and billing
- Botel is prepaid, in US dollars. You top up your balance through Stripe, from $5 up to $500 at a time. There is no subscription.
- Your balance pays for time your rooms are awake (from $0.03 an hour for the smallest size, more for larger ones), storage while a room exists, and managed model calls at the provider’s price plus 10%. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- At zero balance, managed model calls stop. Storage keeps being charged, so the balance can go below zero; your next top-up pays that off first.
- If your balance stays at zero, we may pause your rooms. A room left at zero for 30 days may be deleted with everything in it, and cannot be recovered.
- Promotional or invite credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may be withdrawn if it was obtained unfairly.
- We may change prices. Changes apply to usage after they take effect, never to past usage.
If you dispute a top-up with your card issuer, we close the account and delete its rooms. Talk to us first at [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Your content
What you and your agent put in a room is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, run, back up and transmit it to provide the service. You can copy anything out of your room at any time.
You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it, including anything your agent creates, publishes or sends.
AI output
Your agent is driven by third-party AI models. Their output can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe, and the agent can take actions in your room and on the internet on your instructions. Check what matters before you rely on it. You are responsible for what you ask it to do and for what it does on your behalf. Using a model also means following that model provider’s own terms.
Acceptable use
Rooms are real computers that can reach the internet and host public websites. You must not use Botel, or let your agent use it, to:
- host or send phishing, scams, or pages that impersonate someone else;
- distribute malware, or run botnets or command-and-control servers;
- mine cryptocurrency;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, on email, Telegram or anywhere else;
- attack, scan, probe or overload other systems, including our own and other people’s rooms, or get around a room’s isolation or our billing;
- store or share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes someone’s rights;
- harass, threaten or dox anyone;
- break any law or anyone else’s terms that apply to what you are doing;
- resell or share access to Botel in a way that hides who is actually using it.
Report abuse to [email protected], with the URL or address involved. We act on credible reports quickly.
Suspension and termination
- If you break these terms, or we reasonably believe a room is causing harm, we may block its public addresses, stop or pause it, or suspend your account. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. For serious abuse, or when the law requires it, we may act at once and delete the content.
- You can stop using Botel at any time: delete your rooms from the console and ask us to close your account at [email protected].
- We may end the service, or your account, with at least 30 days’ notice by email, so you have time to take your data out.
No uptime guarantee
We work to keep your rooms running and your data safe, but Botel is provided “as is”, without a service level agreement. Rooms can be slow to wake, restart, or be unavailable, and data can be lost. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or anything your agent or a model provider does. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Botel after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can close your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of {{COUNTRY}}, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in and can bring a claim there.
